argentine with an "odd" nose
A friend of mine who owns a pet shop just got a few of these from a regualr customer of his. The customer bred these and they are only a a few weeks old. I looks to me like the nasal structure never finished developing or fused, but the all have it. I have argentines and have never seen something like this. any ideas?

Re: argentine with an "odd" nose
Wierd, looks almost like the boa-version of a hairlip.. what's the inside of the mouth look like? If they all have it, it's possible it's a genetic malady of some kind.. were the parents related, if at all? That's kind of odd.

Re: argentine with an "odd" nose
I am with Gus on this one... It looks like a genetic defect (especially since they all have it).

haha I like the hair lip comment too. I thought about marketing them as "pig boas" lol. Im just joking Id never do something like that.
on a serious note thanks for taking a look and confirming my suspicions. The guy that got these doesnt know a whole lot about them so Im glad I can help him. On the inside the mouth structure looks ok, and they are eating great. what do you think these will do as they grow? I wouldnt ever breed them but it would be kinda neat to see what they do, not to mention they have some great color.
the parents were not related they came from two different breeders and as far as I know where bought a year or two apart.
