gray to tan?

Hi, I was looking at lots of pictures of boas and I noticed that most babies were gray but most adults, sub adults were tan. When I got my girl she was already tan at 8 months. But are all boas gray when born and tan out as they get older? (I'm talking about their overall body color not saddles or tail.) Also if anyone has pics of their boa as a baby and as an adult just to see the color variation would be great. Thanks.

Re: gray to tan?

From what I've observed, theres a "baby grey" stage. After that diminishes they basicly darken from there. Boas with lots of black tend to get darker and "muddy" up. Boas with less black ("pastels") tend to gain browns and become less muddy as an adult.

Here's a comparison of my "EBV Red Group" normal that produced my EBV Salmons this year. The first photo is her as a yearling. The second is as an adult.
