I took this guy out today to handle him, and said to myself, "Boy, he looks amazing this afternoon! I've never seen him look so nice." He was in a dark phase, including lots of peach and looking very smooth. So I got my camera and took a few pics:
Now, as I returned him to his cage, I saw why he was looking so hot. In his hide, I spot something and think, "Nah.. that can't be...", but sure enough, it's a rolled up shed. WHAA? When did that happen?

His eyes NEVER clouded. His body never darkened, at least never enough to make me think he was about to enter a shed cycle. I've checked on him, as I do with all my snakes, twice every day. There's NO way I missed it. And the shed was very light in color.. almost clear like the shed of an albino snake. How weird is that???? I'm stumped by it.
