Do pink spots mean anything?:(
About a week ago, my dad and I had jenna out and noticed that she had little pink spots everywhere on her belly. He said that he thinks it means that she is sick, but we don't know.it could be because she is shedding, but i don't think it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Do pink spots mean anything?:(
I have seen that on several boas... it is particularly noticeable on the ones with clear white bellies. It will usually go away (or at least lessen) after a shed.
Has your substrate been unusually moist at all? Spilled water dish or any of that kindof thing?

No her Substrate isn't wet, we just cleaned her whole cage and gave her new substrate and water, and when we built her cage, we made an area for her water and put a barrier between it and her substrate. But so it should go away when she is done shedding?

Re: Do pink spots mean anything?:(
Probably. What kind of substrate are you using? And are we talking the little pink blotches that look kind of like speckles?

Re: Do pink spots mean anything?:(
It could be nothing or it could be a bacterial or fungal infection. Hard to say without photos. If it is an infection, the snake will likely shed soon as it is part of the healing process. Either way, I generally give a snake with a dermal problem a shed to see if it heals on its own before administering antibiotics (unless it is in bad shape).
