Holy Crap!!!
I hope that isn't consider too strong language for on here , it is the only response I can have. My red tail hasn't pooped since a few days before Christmas. I resisted posting an question to ask about it since I have already posted so many "newbie" type posts, so I did the responsible thing and searched the threads. It help a little, and I say a little because some people seem to say they should pooop regulary with every feeding, others say not to worry if a month goes by, well it has almost been three and I was getting worried. But I kept reminding myself what I have seen Stargazer say a few time "they will poop when they poop." (my paraphrase)
I tried the warm bath and just waited and waited, nothing seemed to be helping, could see that he was getting larger near the vent, but it wasn't hard and he seemed to be feeling okay and eating fine, so I just kept telling myself to wait, it will happen.
I was watching tv tonight and noticed a strange smell, went over to the one rack expecting to find one of the corns had gone and I looked down to the shelf with Boaz's cage on it and...
I don't know how there was any room in him for anything other than poop. He took the largest crap I have ever seen, and it wasn't a poop, it was a crap. This guy is only about 3 feet long and not that big around, I am scared to death of what this is going to be like if when he is as big as my thigh to decide to "store it up" for three months. The urates where about a thrid the size of my pinkie finger, and I am a pretty big guy.
I am sorry if this sounds stupid, I am just in a daze at this point, lol. I knew that boas could put out the poop, but wow...
I had to wake up my 13 year old daughter at midnight to see it, for some reason she just didn't seem to be impressed, ... a lilttle grumpy even.
Anyway, are we pretty much dependent on the snakes biological timing to poop or is there something we can do to make them "regular?"

lmao ... that was such a funny read! I can hardly wait to see the thread that you are going to start in just a couple of years. It's probably gonna be something along the line of "I'm up to my ears in poop!".
There really isn't anything you can do to regulate a snake. The only things you can do, you are probably already doing: Be persistent with your feeding schedule, don't handle Boaz for about 48 hours after feeding, offer the same size/kind prey every time you feed and when upping the meal size raise the weight of the prey item slowly (don't feed him a 80 g rat one week and a 160 g rat the next).

That is funny stuff. Just wait. My young male (6') will, on occasion, lay one out there that is 8"+ long and as big around as a roll of quarters.

A long time ago, when the world was young and dinosaurs still roamed the planet, I had my first boa. One morning I woke up, got ready for work, and glanced in at him on my way out the door. I was STUNNED! I really couldn't fathom how THAT had come out of my little bitty snake. I thought someone was playing a really foul joke on me and had put a giant great dane turd in the cage with my poor baby boa.
So yeah, I know how you feel.
Incidentally, for keeping your snake regular, a regular feeding schedule is a must. I also suspect that feeding only frozen/thawed ever will help. Freezing breaks down the cellular structure of the prey item and should make for easier digestion. Keep a close eye on your temperatures too. I think that temps that are too warm will cause the poop to bake and make it more difficult to pass.
Other than that, some snakes like to let it go fast, some like to store it. There's not much you can do to change your snake's personal habits.

Just be glad he's not like us and does it every day.
Anyway, congratulations on your snake's magnificent achievement. I know that as awe-struck and horrified as you seem, you are secretly very relieved and pleased about this sign that everything is OK.
