Dry Skin?

My regular boa shed about a week ago. PERFECT shed. He has a hide with a sponge in it and a regular hide. He also had a water bowl that is under the light.

He seems to have dry skin. I can feel it catch on my shorts and shirt. He never really seems to go into his water bowl, or his humidty hide.

I fed him a nice size rat about 5 days ago.

Could this just be a small phase he is going through?

do you mist the cage at all? how is the humidity in the whole cage? and you use a sponge? is that normal? that seems kindof... gross to me haha.

Yes I mist the cage, more ferquently around shedding. I don't understand when a sponge would seem gross but I guess that's beside the point. The humidty in the cage usually stays around 60% but I have one of those crappy stick on the glass gauges. So 1 min its at 30 the next 70 then 45 and so on.
