Now questions questions for all you "veiwers".
Anyone who has a item measurement on their computer would you kindly measure Nessy and Val for me? (I promise a nice gift)
Does Nessy look large enough to breed by these photo's?

I could but you need to give me the exact measurement of the remote AND you can't take the pic at that much of an angle. YOu would have to stand on a bed or chair or something to get a directly overhead shot. Then I can get an accurate measurement.

IC i'll have to go old fashion and get some yarn and wait till nessy settles down. She's always out and about. Taking those pics was hard enough she diddnt want to get away from me!

In my opinion your male Nessy looks big enough for breeding but Val your female is to small she needs to be 6 foot + and 15 to 20 lb.
I am going to say Val is 52 to 58 inches long and Nessy is 60 to 65 inches long. Let me know how close I was with my guess.
Take care
Tom

She needs to be about as fat as a 2 liter soda bottle before she breeds.

RegalReptiles.com said they'd take em all..Coldbloodedpets.com said the same both in my area no shipping required. Thanks about the girth size dillema. I will wait she will hopefully but i doubt (2 liter bottle is pretty thick!) she will hopefully be able to go the end of this year early next. Im not going to overfeed her.

Given that the Comcast Digital Cable remote is about 9" (i have it too), I'd say approximately 7.5'/8' give or take. Beautiful snakes!

Nick-
Why dont you just measure them? Its not that hard. You can either use the wall method where you have your snake move against the wall and floor corner and measure them from there. Or you can do the string method, get a long string and start from the head and guide the string all the way down the body. Do a section at a time. You know like the way they measure the wild snakes on animal planet shows?
BTW you have beautiful snakes. Val is smokin for a rescue. But size issue, Nessy needs some girth and length. Tom was saying if nessy was the male you would be able to breed but thats because the males are able to breed when they small. But its a differnt story when its the female they need to be BIG! well good luck and keep the pics comming.

Yea like i said i was hoping for the end of this year early next for her to begin the breeding process with Val. They are both great snakes and come as pets first and foremost. I couldnt beleive how pink Val was when he arrived. Certainly a great looking rescue.

Also nessy's growth may have been stunted a bit. She was kept cool (small heating pad and a 55gallon tank) and fed not that often. And she's "way older than three" from what the guy said. I dont know how much older but she's small for her age. So maturely she is ready. But size wise i think all she can get is girth...
