I am in the market for a new boa I have my eye on a suri or a Peruvian what would be a better pet? And maybe a breeding project in a few years .

They are both very beautifull choices. I plan on getting at least one of each at some point. I am going to get a suri first I think.

I personally opt for Peru boas. But surinames are a sight for soar eyes as well. You'll be happy either way you go!

i'm no expert as my suri is only 3 months old, but I can handle him with no worries. he is not head shy at all and seems to like to be held. I personally think its all about the relationship between the owner and snake. If you handle them often and be gentle, they will usually be passive. Of course there is always the "bad day" or bad egg in a bunch. But my suri is a tame little beauty so far.

I was going through the same problem when I was snake searching. But I came to a conclusion that Im going with a Suris. My friend has a 5' Peruvian that is really clean. Beautiful snake but I just love suris.
