shed issues...arghhh
I just got back from my trip out in Montana. I think I acquired a slight cold from the weather out there...
anyway, my baby suri is still having trouble getting that old shed off. He started shedding over about 10 days ago, and seems to have given up on trying to get it off. the head is still covered with old skin and the last 3/4ths of the body is still un-shed. I soaked him in water for a couple minutes today then put him back in the enclosure. anything else I can do? temp and rh are in good shape. Aspen shavings for substrate.

ok...soak for like 15 min or so...or try Shed Ease...Can get it at most reptile stores...put some in the water and soak the snake in it for like 15 or more than take it out or you can spray it on the snake..works great for me!

I hate it when stuff like that happens to my sav... Then it's even worse because the shed doesn't come off in one piece. Keep trying!

Not to sound negative, but I'm guessing the old skin is still going to be on in the morning. If that's the case, let us know and we can share some other ideas.

You could use a moist hide, plastic tub of appropriate size, floor covered with damp spagnum moss or paper towels, put in a rock or something for the animal to rub against. I leave one constantly in my Boa's enclosure and she uses it as and when she needs it
