Here's our 5 month old girl!

This girl has been a labor of love. We purchased her more as a rescue project (which I mentioned in another thread)...the young man that owned her was feeding her pinkies on a monthly basis at 2 months of age. She was starving! No wonder she had such a nasty temperment (she's the most docile thing you ever saw now). We also battled with a skin infection (bacterial dermatitis) that our vet attributed to poor husbandry - we learned later that she was being kept for weeks on end in a (water) soaked aspen substrate - the young man (previous "clueless" owner) actually thought this was necessary to maintain humidity (and in South Florida none the less

Well here she is a little more than 3 months later. We followed a strict observation based feeding schedule and she's really looking great. We think she now has a good weight to size (we're not into overfeeding either). Her growth rate may have been stunted but she's well on her way now. Also after 2 perfect sheds the scars/skin lesions she had from her condition are almost completely gone. We're hoping that with a few more sheds the scars might completely disappear. Regardless we think she's really looking beautiful!
