She's a super-freak!
So, I decided to start feeding my babies every two weeks instead of every week. Today is Maynard's feeding day, so I thawed out a small rat. The moment I walked through the snake's room with a rat, Natasha (who just ate 6 days ago) came out of her hide and watched me feed the rat to Maynard.
Maynard hasn't constricted his prey since I switched to f/t MONTHS ago, but since this is the longest he's gone without a meal, he stalked this dangling little rat like a champ and pounced on it!
As soon as he struck and constricted it, I walked outside for a cigarette noticed that Natasha was still pacing in her tank. When I walked back into the room, Natasha struck at the glass as I walked by! She smelled that rat immediately and is still in feed mode! I have never seen her this excited about food...you'd think I was starving her! I wish the digi cam wasn't in my g/f's car (at work) so I could take a pic of her staring at me! She's following every movement in the room! I had to take the dogs outside so that their tails don't wag in front of her. I've never seen her so nuts!

This isn't the first time there's been a rat near her cage...she's never spazzed out so bad! She still has her head up in the air and flicking her tongue...I don't want to get her out!

I usually get both of mine out everyday, well, almost.
I usually just don't see her react so dramatically when a rat is in the room! It's no cause for concern or anything...I'm actually glad to see her so alert!

I just switched my girl over to every two weeks too. I think she hates me for it too. Every time I open the cage I have to hook her out cause she won't stop hissing and striking.
