Moving a snake
Hello everyone, i havent been around in a while but anywho...
A few weeks ago my 5 foot boa broke my door in half...not good times...my mom is a bad person and this scared the crap out of her, so shes making me get rid of the snake now...(shes always hated the snake, but this is an excuse for her to make me get rid of it without seeming ridiculous i guess)...il be taking her to a guy in charlotte, which is about 2 1/2 hours from my house...shes a naturally cranky snake and i dont want the wrong impression by her biting the new owner immediately, so how should i keep her comfortable and especially warm in a rubbermade for the duration of the trip?...thanks

I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. I've always transported my snakes in a pillow case. It keeps them feeling nice and secure. With it being summer time I wouldn't think you would have to worry to much about keeping it warm.

ya, im sure it was her cause she did it when i was with her haha i had set her on the ground and when i turned back around she had gotten her head under the door...from her stomach to her back shes pryly 4 or 5 inches, and she felt me tug on her and tried to fit under the half inch between door and carpet...she couldnt do that so she busted into the bottom half of the door, and as she went up it the front panel began snapping off..she snapped most of it off on her own, and to get her out i had to chisel off the entire front of the door...good times! so ya, it would be better to sack her up then put her in a rubbermaid do you think? thanks

ya, pretty much cause it was splintering everywhere and its not like she can close her eyes...shes gotten wire stuck in her mouth too (she hates it when i perform oral surgery)but she was totaly clear of wood...just pretty snappy that week, which of course isnt fun since she can make me bleed like crazy.. haha it was dumb of me to set her down but nobody was around and shed laid a great dane size turd, so i put her in a pile of clothes and an hour later i didnt have a door........hate it when that happens

i bet it was some cheap wood venear door. if u lean up against a door like that it can break get a solid door and then she wont be able to break it. i hope u can get her there safe and sound.
