The handiest program I have found for snakes
If you were ever wondering what is the easiest way to measure snakes...try this program
http://www.serpwidgets.com/Apps/apps.html
extremely easy to use and pretty darn accurate.

I'll have to look into that. I'm currently doing it the old fashion way of getting her to stretch out against a wall and marking on it.

The measuring program that SrepWidgets (Charles Pritzel) made works great. It was a very good idea on his part and is very accurate. We beleive it is a "Must Have" for anyone who keeps snakes.

You MUST resize BEFORE you use the pic...I use photoshop or a similar program to make sure the picture fits in the screen of the computer (actually fits...not just that windows xp thing that auto fits it even if it doesn't really fit.)You can't have one of those 6megapixel cams that puts a 10mb file size for a pic or you won't even be able to find the snake on the photo let alone use it for measurement....hope that helps

Measuring sheds is a very highly inaccurate way of doing things, they can stretch so much. One of my yearling male boas just shed...he is about 3 feet give or take, but his shed is much closer to 5 feet...big difference.
Make sure when you use that program to take pics from directly above and try to use multiple pics to come up with a fairly consistent number because it can be way off if you use it wrong or didn't take the pic at the right angle.
