Nope didn't build it myself. I got it from an old high school teacher for $50. Practically brand new 4x2x2- The light fixture surrounding is like thick smooth chicken wire. No sharp edges or anything- my local reptile shop has a ton lying around, they just gave me some. Check out the local shops-
