fleas
can snakes carrie fleas? our snake has some kind of bug on her but i can tell ya its not mites! these are big bugs. any help would be great!

my ball python got mites, if it basically looks like a tiny black spec moving around, yes its a nasty annoying mite- the good news its not too hard to get rid of them. If you noticed your snake soaking alot that can confirm it too, big bugs, i dont know maybe it was just a bug looking around, if you find a second one then id be worried

no there alote on her. i have never notice any bugs on her till i went to give her a bath becouse she decided she wanted to play in her poo. when i went to give her a bath there where tons of black bugs in the water. i have seen mites and there is no way these are mites these are about 4 times the size and there are no small ones! i will try to get a pic up asap. thay look like fleas. but there not jumping around!

sorry sounds like the little bugs that come in on the substrate...or mites.
Either one can stress the snake, get some Sevin Dust 5% and have fun
