It's good your really set on this, I'd say for the basic info you were looking for, try reptic zone, i look on ther sometimes...
http://www.repticzone.com/caresheets/1024.html
also continue to ask experienced people on this great site, one person i know who has an experience with all different kinds of snakes is lazyguy123 people who have owned hog islands b4-- again if you arent near a herp store getting the actual snake might be a bit difficult, but im sure you can get one with the determination you have now =) gudluck keep me posted

Not to flame anyone but that site has loads of bad info on it. If you have the time to filter out the bad info from the good info, then good luck

Basically the care for a Hog Island is the exact same of a Colombian. They generally require less space due to smaller adult size, but some animals will get well past 6 feet, and adult size (as with all species)largely depends on genetics and their feeding regimen. As a rule, they are more nervous then Colombians, especially as babies, some calm down, some don't. I love having mine around.

Thanks!
Jake, I definitely agree with you. A lot of the stuff on that site is junk and very inaccurate.
The best way to learn about keeping certain species online is to investigate as many sources as possible, and once you have read everything you can, put it all together and ask the more experienced folks on forums such as this one what is best. I myself am new to keeping BCC, and from the reading I have learned as wel as talking to others, the topic of feeding yields a lot of personal opinions, probably none of which are wrong. Not many "golden rules" in this hobby!
