Correct statistics on boas wanted

I guess this goes here? not sure where else to put it... Anyway, I'm getting a Hog Island boa soon and I'd like to eeeease my parents into me getting a snake. So, I'm going to start filling their email inboxes with the wonderfulness of snakes. Is there a particular website out there that has good stats on snakes, preferably boas? As in stuff stating that no, red tails haven't eaten their owners, likelihood of a damaging injury from a boa(outside of hitting a vein and whatnot), and stuff along those lines. I've got their "emotional" side covered, but I'd like to get their "rational" side across the line also.

so yeah, any help is appreciated!

oh and I already have 5 lizards, and my parents are constantly 'checking in' on them to see how they're doing. they've come a long way from my first leo.

Well, if memory serves, there are a few people that have had fatal encounters with captive boas (although not eaten). Incredibly rare, but it has happened.

uhhh, don't let your folks see this reply
