yea....wanna bring something to light here with him. he was sold to me, for $325 as a "pastel" from alex hue reptiles. he looks nothing like a pastel to me...but a few days ago was reading alex hues forums, and came accross an thread called "for the people who purchased "pastel" boas in '03". here is the thread from alex himself...

For the last 4 years or so...I've had a certain female throw out aberrant patterned babies here and there, nothing really special. This year I bred here back to one of her offspring and see below.........
She was one of the females that I had used the last 3 years with different "pastel" males each year. Most of my "pastels" from last year and '03 were from this particular female. I sold off the "pastels" as pastels and the normals as wholesale run of the mill boas.
Out of 27 babies born on 4/29/05...we have 2 that are missing saddles and have striped tails to an extent, we have 17 that have ladder/square tails, striped tails, or both striped and ladder tails to an extent. Then we finally have 8 that appear to be "normal".
At this point in time...I dont know what the heck is going on here...whether its genetic or just a very lucky fluke....but with a total of 19 babies that are showing some sort of aberrancy...I would more than likely think its genetic. The ultimate test will be to breed 2 of the siblings together and see what we get...too bad we're 3-4 years away from proving these guys out 100% from a sibling to sibling breeding.
At this point in time...I'll just call it the "About time I got lucky boas"."
now while i didnt purchase rocky until jan of 05, he is a 03', and was sold to me, as a pastel....hmmm..
