Boo News!
My vet (and other vets) seem to think that the mucous is coming from the saliva glands and it keeps filling up that pocket under his eye. The eye it self is infected too but he's not sure with what type of bacteria ...the culture results didn't come back yet. I'll be taking Boo down to another vet 2 1/2 hours from me to let a specialist to do the surgery as my vet has NO clue what he's doing! DUH! My vet has been in touch with the far away vets to let them know what's been going on and that's what they have all came up with over the phone..... I'm sure Boo will be in for more tests soon.
I'll post more later when I get the culture results....
Please keep my big guy in your prayers k? He's gonna need them...They are talking about taking out the saliva glands and the eye its self.
Thanks,
Jem

UPDATE!!
Well the cultures came back clean...no bacteria. It's my call if I want to take him to the specialist just to have him do basicly the same thing I can do at home, which is to suck the mucous out of the saliva glands every few days or to have the glands taken out and hope he recoveres from the surgery. No one seems to want to touch that eye if they can help it, which is just making me all the more mad! But I guess if there's nothing in it that's bothering him, then leave it be right? Some people just rattle my cage the wrong way!...I'm so ticked off about this whole thing! I can pay over $2,000 and still not have a healthy snake! And I don't think it's fair to Boo to put him through all that if it doesn't NEED to happen ya know? They said the mocous won't kill him, it's just a "bother" to him and seeing as though he's peeing and pooping and eating normally that he's doing ok and holding his own.
I hate it when people don't give me straight answers!.......

Sweet! It does sound like he is doing better though. You can't really argue with results that keep him alive... plus I'm not sure that many vets see this kind of a case during their career.
