Need help Colombia RED TAIL BOA PIC
Hi i am going to buy a Colombia red tail boa and I need some good example PIC of a colombia red tail boa... Where I am having hard time to find out from the google... so is there anyone out there own one? i really need some pic from you all... to confirm is the right one that i am getting and accoding to my supplier the colombia red tail boa is not really red on the tail but brown or pale red... PLEASE help i really donno about this

Thing is by columbiuan redtail are you referring to the boa constrictor imperator which can be found pretty much anywhere anytime OR an actual columbain TRUE redtail boa which i don't think crop up much so could prove a bit harder to find!

This is a BCI...Colombian Red Tail Boa....just a plain ole common red tail.....they are the ones that grow up to have more of a brown tail then red. Is this what you're talking about?

It should be. BCC Colombians are about as rare as they come.
This is also what it might look like if you're buying a young boa...

how do you tell the difference? I heard that you count the sadles, and less than 22 is a BCC, more is a BCI. Anyone know if this true.

It's not true. It's an indicator but far from definate. I've seen BCI with as little as ONE saddle. Generally though BCC will have under 21 blothces from vent to head.

The REAL way to do it is to do a scale count. A lot of BCCs can usually be recognized by a good eye, though.
