Ok.. time for another photo.. Suriname redtail boa!

This nice boa has a lot of the look considered 'Classic Suriname'.. and I agree. Note the way the color and tone shifts down the length of the body.. and the jet-saddles, plus the deep red tail. I like light-bright redtails! .. but this guy has 'the package' so-to-speak.. of a nice Suriname redtail boa and it goes beyond one particular thing, such as .. light color, big tail, no speckles.. or whatever buzz-word is used to describe a nice boa these days.

Funny thing.. it was a rescue.. a good friend got it from a pet shop where he knew the owner and gave it to me. The snake had everybody there scared! .. I'll admit we're not entirely cordial.. we have a sort of mutual non-agression pact!

I really love the color change, what a gorgeous snake. Looks like 3 snakes in one, with the light head coloration, the darker and more patterned coloration in the body, and the deep brilliant red in the tail!
That is a remarkable snake!  |

You sucketh How is it that you have on an ongoing basis some of the vest looking snakes. And not just that, you photos are very well done. Are you an amatuer(sp?) photo buff? |
