Snake Mites Beware !!!!
I used what are known as hypoaspis predator mites to kill the mites on my 4 ft boa they are the best thing since sliced bread, they truely are amazing every mite and egg gone in 48+ hours depending on infestation once snake mites are dead hypoaspis die and you are left mite free what do you say to that you lot who use sprays (lol). Those sprays are a waste of time get some of these critters i am only a beginner but already i know the most effective way to kill mites HYPOASPIS IS THE WAY FOWARD IN THE WAR AGAINST MITES !!!!

http://www.biconet.com is a place that sells them if you are intrested in useing them, there is some talk about the mites that they ship with the hypoaspis miles but they ae just a standard food mite that should have nothing at all to do ith harming the reptile you use them in. If I ever have another outbreak this will be the way I will go for sure.

I'll be darned...are they expensive little buggers?
That does sound like the way to go...are there any cons to using them??
I read their life cycle is like 7-10 days, which during that time they eat all your mites feeding on your snake, and then they die when there is no food left..just curious as to any downside..

there are no known cons really, they ship with a harmless to reptiles food mite (which is actually a food mite) to keep them alive during shipping and their 4 week use by date, and when there are no more mites to feed on they wind up killing each other so I would have to say with it being 30 dollars for .5 liter of them it may be the best way to go and without nasty chemicals and alot of worrying
