I know this store you're talking about isn't a Petco, but I was just saying in general.
What I should have mentioned about having bought animals before to save them, was many of them I bought from a hole-in-the-wall kind of a store. Two turtles, a bunch of anoles, etc...
I haven't been in that store for a really long time, and I wonder about it sometimes. I wish it would close down.

Well I know that, but you werent the first person to mention that name, and I figured I'd better clear it up. =). I hope someone can help me figure out how to help at least one and preferably both of these two. This has got myself, my boyfriend and our roomate so stressed out we've posted far and wide and are checking the site every couple of minutes for updates. Nobody's very hungry either...

Well I'm stressed about this too but I'm not sure how I can help... I wouldn't be very hungry, if at all, either...
All I can say is get with the police or animal control or something, and actually get someone from there to come with you. I would literally drag one of them down there if it were me.
I've got freakin' baytril injections, I wish I could help that one boa in particular...

Well, I've never treated a sick snake before - my boyfriend and roomate have though. I'm mainly just the bleeding heart driving them both and point blank saying I'm not giving up with them still there. Aside from their physical condition, they both seem to be very friendly overall. the one with the "knot" was particularly, following all three of us back and forth around the tank even though I'm sure he's in a lot of pain. I wonder how long its been since he's been able to eat...

It's probably been a real long time since he's eaten...
Him following you back and forth around the tank almost makes me think he was wanting you to get him out of there, almost like, "PLEASE GOD get me out of this pleaaaase..."
..but that's just me.

my rescue
I have been in the same predicament.... i recued my surnam/peruvian/ whatever she is form a bad pet sore.. they had her (a 6 ftboa) and 5 ft burm and a 5 ft rainbow boa in like a 29 gallion show case plastic cage thingie..... She was in the worst shape so i took her home ... they also had a 20long tank that had a baby burm, two terrestrial garters, a baby boa, two baby balls and a corn snake , and they were on Fish gravel... no humidity at all like a 5 oz water bowl and no room whatsoever..... i confronted him about it and he told me that snakes liked to be together and that they are social animals, i offered him 150 for the bay burm, the balls and athe baby boa but he wanted 500 for all of them.... so i had to keave with just my Big boa,,.,,, thankfully he was closed down in 2 months he took many things form alot of people and now he doesnt show his face in town ........ i was thrilled he was closed but still worried about what happened to the rest of the reptiles...... oh well you cant save them all .. and i know that.......

Well, I may be wrong but thats how I've been seeing it. Of course, my snakes will do that too when I walk by their cages, but thats cause they're spoiled and want to come out... Will just have to keep trying to answer his little prayer...
P.S. I'm going to try to go back in the morning and get some better pics with a regular camera, assuming the | |
