Help Drastic change of color

My boa is a juvenile 3-4 months old, bci - probably colombian. After the last couple of times I've fed him he changed colour during the night. Dark brown spots and generally alot darker. He doesn't look healthy after the colour change. He has just shed and looked splendid.
I've moved him into a bigger cage, were I don't use uth because it gets to dry. Instead I use infrared lightning which I turn off during night. Night temp is only 74-75f so he has no real hotspot during the night. The changes in color started after the change in cage setup...
Can this be due to inadequate heating for digestion or is it normal with such a drastic color change directly after feeding. I'm talking very nice light grey colored to ugly unhealty looking speckled dark colour..

It is normal for them to have a color change after eating and from daytime to night time. There are snakes that are more dramatic and some that are less so. Usually when digesting they are darker and when they are colder they are darker. Is the 74-75 on both sides of the tank. He needs a hotter side even at night time, especially for digestion. You can run into regurg problems and possibly RI from that low of temperature. 75 is okay for a night time low on the cool side but definitely not the cool side.

No...the hot side needs to be warmer than 75 even at night!
Heidi made a typo!
It should read: 75 is okay for a night time low on the cool side but definitely not the HOT side.
