Is my boa small
My boa is 2 feet long and is 8 and a half months old. Is this a good size right now?

if she looks strong and healthy and is feeding on a good schedule then it's fine, boas are usualy around 3ft at a year but as with everything some grwo faster or slower than average and usually even out with age.

Its smaller than my boa and its older, mine is 8 months old and is 29-1/2 inches. But it all depends on the feeding caging ECT.

It does vary. If your husbandry is right and it is eating, then it is growing and most likely healthy. I would take to vet or at least have fecal done to check for parasites if you have not done this yet, but on the side of that I would not worry. Could it also possibly be one of the smaller, dwarf localities? That is a possibility also.

Mine is 6 months as of a couple days ago, and I'd say he's around 23-24 inches.
I'd say genetics would have something to do with this, as well. Plus, you never stated what kind of boa you have. A BCC would be bigger than a BCI at that age, and a caulker bay or central american boa would be smaller than a BCI.

Actually if I'm not mistaken a BCC would probably be a little smaller if anything. They tend to grow slower but larger then a Colombian. CA's are BCI also.

My BCI was 3-3.5ft at 1year and my BCC is 2.5-3ft at 1 year, she was a problem starter but has really caught up so they do seem to grow more steadily whereas BCI's spurt then stop then spurt then stop - like kids really lol

Huh.. I was under the impression that BCC babies were actually bigger (such as peruvians).
I guess I heard and saw wrong...?
