New snake home..
Well my 20 gallon my redtail was in just got shattered from a rock knocked over by my iguana! No one was hurt but now i am in a tight spot...I need a new cage and have found one of those christmas rubbermaids from walmart in my basement is this suitable for a home and how will i heat/light it i was thinking of just using a heat pad from a petstore will this do? Will i need to put a light in their or should it be fine it isnt pitch black when i close the top so i think it should be ok right there is light inside.

I used one of those HUGE rubbermaids from Walmart for my 7 foot girl for a long time....I just used a regular heating pad from CVS and put it on a towel and placed it under the rubbermaid tub..I didn't use any light, but the rubbermaid was clear plastic and light could get through...I punched air holes around the sides and she did just fine Good Luck!
