Websites for F/T rats?
Can you guys give me some reliable websites to order F/T feeders from. I could easily go on google and find plenty but I would like to know who you guys go to and your opinion on them so I can hook up with the best.
Thanks-

rodentpro.com
cajunmice.com
gourmetrodent.com
heeey!!! What's wrong with your google skills anyway?
Of the 3, I have used rodentpro. Good quality, reliable...poor packaging...the ziplocks they send them in bust with the little feet and tails poking through so if you are stocking up for long term supply...invest in a vacuum sealer. Play around with the cart and watch the shipping. Shipping is expensive and they charge per box. So it makes sense to add a bag of this or that sometimes to fill up the box but sometimes adding one more rat can double your shipping chage so you have to kinda watch that.
I've never used the other 2 but have heard ok things about cajun. Gourmet...I've heard of but can't for the life of me remember if it was good or bad.

I just found a brand new vacum sealer at work that an old employee had left behind.... how convenient.... those things are cool- suck all the air right out and seal that bag up like no other. I have two snakes so I'll be using two rats a week... how many should I buy each shipment?
Im gonna wait for a few other replies but for now it looks like www.rodentpro.com is the one.

I believe in a proper seal, they can stay good for 2 years plus but don't quote me on that.

vacuum sealed, at least a year. Possibly 2 in a deep freezer. When they start freezer burning, you will know because they fall apart and the guts fall out when you thaw them. At that point, throw the rest away unless you have something that will eat anything and appreciates nasty food...ie: any monitor lizard, cottonmouth, or kingsnake.

Thanks... I'll be sure to trash them when I see a head and some guts away from the body....
I ordered 50 rat pups today- you guys were right shipping is expensive... $30 for the pups and a little over $50 for shipping- But lives are $1.50 a piece... so that would have been $75 and add $30 to cure the mites from the live rodents and $20+ in gas to drive back and forth from the pet store every week and its a good deal.

lol thats not bad, I perfer to order them about 200+ rodents at a time. I ordered smalls, mediums, and a few large so i am ready for my boa and the vacume packing is great. I keep them in a deep freezer, I will check the temps in there later. The only freezer burn I have seen are on pinky mice and rats, if I keep them in a ziploc bag for more than a few months, My sav never minds so I have no reason to either.
