New BCC and a regurge
Well I picked up my new BCC last night, soaked her for about an hour to work on some retained shed on the top of her head, then put her into her new cage. She did her "business" big time in the soaking tote. Then when I went to check on her this morning I found she had regurged during the night.
Her temps/humidity, and everything are good, so I assume it was from the stress of the new move. I'll ask the seller if she has a history of it and/or take her in for a vet check. I cleaned out the cage this morning and refilled her water bowl so she can rehydrate. Anything I'm forgetting....?

When did she last eat. Maybe it was too soon for her to be moved after feeding. If I'm not mistaken BCC are much more common to regurg then BCI. Could the issue be as simple as that?

According to some things I've read they are more prone to regurge. I was told she ate about 5 days ago...

Well that is understandable. WHat you should have done is put the snake directly into it's new cage and left it alone for a couple days. Old shed is not something that is so desperate that it had to be take care of immediatly unless it was somehow endangering the snakes life. And putting it into a warm bath and messing with her head probably stressed her out and made her regurge. You could have just misted her with some warm water and that would have probably taken care of the shed and not bothered her as much.
I wouldn't bother with a vet under these circumstances.

Yeah, I'm not planning on seeing a vet unless the seller fesses up to a history of regurge which could point to parasites etc... (I was told initially she was 100% healthy etc...)
I do realize I am most likely to blame for the regurge and will gladly take the blame over any health issues that's for sure. I guess I've just been lucky thus far with every new snake I've had adapting so quickly to it's new home. I figured this one would be even better since it wasn't shipped, just driven a mile or two. Either way, stress is stress.

Yeah, I'm not overly concerned at this point, just kicking myself a bit for being over anxious

I've not had a regurge yet with my royals or the BCI but I do remember in my research into BCC and BCI's reading that BCC's ten to regurge more. Also I remember reading an article about being careful about feeding again too soon after a regurge and starting with smaller prey to recondition the snake's digestion. Unfortunately I cannot remember where I read this...anyone know?
I was wondering after 5 days post feed why the snake had still enough prey in it's belly to regurge it? Shouldn't the vast majority of any appropriate sized prey be well digested before 5 days post feed?

The regurge was rather small but definitely resembled a rat. I was told it had eaten a good sized rat 5 days earlier so what I saw was well digested IMO.
And yes I'll be giving plenty of time before feeding again.

I've been told that they can and will regurg up to five days after feeding, with 1-3 days being the biggest danger zone.
Can't wait to see some pictures of him.
