temperature

with the weather getting cooler ive switched to heating with an infrared bulb. besides when i had it up for her repiratory, the hot end thermometer reads at about 86F on the wall of the cage, but when i set one on the ground on that same side directly under the beam of the lamp its at about 95F. just inches away. which one of these do i go by or what should the temperatures be for a good mix of both? they are both new thermometers, and ive compared them to make sure they are not incorrect or different from each other. thanks

so even though it might bring the "wall temp." down to the mid {or even low} 70's on the hot end, as long as the spot directly under the bulb is between 87-90 its ok for the wall to be low? thanks again
