why is this taking so long?

My boa had cloudy or blue eyes for about 5 days and he just got back to normal eyes about 2 days ago... I am just wondering when he will shed it has been 48 hours and he hasnt shed...I am confused on why it is taking him so long to shed...Im just a little bit concerned about it. When he shedded before he had cloudy eyes for like 3 days and shedded about a day and a half later...any response would help...thanks

I notice the eyes going clear for about 2 days and then a shed is usually the next night, so that would make 3 days. This is usual and she has followed this since her very first shed with me but like mentioned, it is not clockwork.

Could be stress-related, too, if you're checking on him every day

I noticed with Dante that the minute we eased up and actually left him alone for a whole week during shedding he had a normal, complete shed.

Make sure he has some sort of hide to get away from you and have some privacy, then leave him alone for 3 more days or so and see what happens.

I have had snakes take up to a week after the eyes clear...most go with in 3 days though. Just raise the humidity some and s/he should shed with in a day or 2.
