Breeding and Genetics

I'm very interested in getting into breeding in the future (maybe a few years), but for now I am very curious about all of the genetics and sub species and how all of the interact. Does anybody have any links to genetic mixes and things like that? Thanks.

Alright... rather this isn't complicated, it's just more of complicating a simple process.

What I'm wondering is say how do you achieve a hypo or a het? What happens if you breed a columbian with a Argentine? Maybe I am just way too deep in my own crap to get out of this one.

	Heterozygous Heterozygous - the animal carries the gene for a genetic trait but does not outwardly demonstrate the trait. Example: A boa that is het for albino looks normal but carries the albino gene. When it is bred to another het for albino boa or an albino boa, a percentage of the offspring will be albino.

	Hypomelanistic Hypomelanistic - a genetic reduction in the dark pigment Melanin.
