boa species

i hear breeders and collectors in everything i read talking about "hogg island", "pastel", etc. What are teh specifics to how these species are classified and waht other types of boas are there? Also, is "het" a breeding term for % of a certain type of boa it is breed from?

well, hogg island is a sub species of a boa, while pastel is a morph (depending how you look at it). most boas are described as locality, such as a Suriname BCC. het is bacially what you said it was, only with morphs. 100%het would mean that it carrys the trait for the given morph. as for other kinds of boas, check it out
