Super Hypo X Hogs
I just received these today. They are the result of breeding an intensely orange/red colored male Super hypo to a beautiful hog island female. They were produced by John Michael Reptiles. They were born May 17, 2005.
Please forgive the names, I know they're cheesy. I just wanted alike names that would easily identify each animal. I like this better than numbering my snakes.
Male
Male
Female. In full shed, unfortunately. She is the deepest colored of my bunch, which was also apparent in the initial photos John Michael took. A lot of nice red.
Female. Also going into shed.
I will post pictures after each shed. In time, they should all color up nicely. Paul Mitchell Jr was kind enough to email me a photo of one of his John Michael Super HypoXHogs from the first clutch produced. It looked beautiful...Hopefully mine will turn out the same!

Thanks! Yes, Sunfire is the lightest colored of the bunch. He almost looked bone-white when I first took him out of the bag. They are quite variable, just in the group I got. So it will be interesting to see how they turn out as adults. Of course with boas, I have time...LOTS of time! We used to keep Burms and Retics which seemed to be larger every other day!

awww...such cute little critters too. Look, they are brothers and sister to my little sammy.
By the way, I had a male boa that was named Blaze.
oh Yeah, you'll get floored when they start to gain more color. It gets way better then this. What you see, is only the beginning!

Thanks Stefanie! So does that make us family? Or should I keep it a secret from my boas that they may have other siblings? LOL!

so I see that all of their names relate in some way.....
Diablo is spanish for devil, and the rest of them relate to fire.... and supposivley theres fire in #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& (don't get how if its below ground, and has no oxygen.....? try explaining that one!)

Okay, name change... Diablo is now "Inferno", going more with the fire theme.
It was either Inferno or Scorch! LOL!

Thanks hb! And Blaze is definitely my favorite as well. She has reddish pink covering her entire sides from neck to tail. I can't wait for her to shed!

WOW! He's going to look amazing when he gets older pop. Inferno suits him well. Looks like he's got flames coming up from his sides. He's going to have that half and half look like my male. Pink Coming up from his stomach and stops half way (the back). Look like he's tan on top, and pink on bottem.
Plus, I think we are now considered family....lol

Pop, I posted pictures of him in your other thread with your normal adult Hog.
He's about a year and a few months old.
May of 2004 was when he was born. I think it was May 16th was when he was born. A friend of mine in another forum bought the mother of these babies. What a BIIIIIG family we have going on here. lol

Thanks everyone!
Stefanie- Your boa is awesome! I definitely remembered the pics, but forgot that it was the one mentioned here. Yes, we do have a big family going here. I wonder how many of us are connected by the snakes we've bought over the years, very interesting to ponder.

Blaze shed a couple of days ago and I snapped a few photos the second I noticed. I'm trying to keep a photo diary of each of them, to document any changes in color as they mature.

Flame also shed, she looks great but not as intensely colored as Blaze. Both had perfect sheds. It's always nice when you open their tubs to find a single ball of skin bunched up, like getting a new snake every month or so!
