BCI Growth - Building a viv

Okay, so here's my plan. I want to get a BCI, but I don't have the room for an adult in my apartment right now. I'll be moving out of here in Spring, but I don't really want to wait that long to get it. When I move, I'm not going to have a good way to transport a viv that's suitable for an adult boa, but I also don't want to keep making/buying different sized vivs as it grows.

I'm considering building a sectional viv because it would A) be usable to some extent throughout the snake's life, just add a section as necessary, and B) It would allow me to break it down for transport. I've been talking to the other reptile guy at the zoo where I work and he's helped me work out some of the design details. My question is about the growth rate though. If I got the snake as a baby, what's the appropriate size viv for one of that age? I'm trying to determine how many sections I'll eventually need for the full viv. I'm leaning towards 2'x2'x2' sections, which would mean I'd eventually need 3 of them, but I may go with a 3'x2'x2'....

Any thoughts?

2x2x2 will be fine for a baby my female bci grew to about 3 feet in the first year, so a bci could stay in a 2x2x2 viv for about a year, she's now about 2 1/2 years old and is about 5' 4". if u want to go 3x2x2 it would'nt really make a difference im not a great believer in the theory about small snakes get stressed in large vivs. as long as there is plenty of cover and hides there be fine. i probably go with 2 3x2x2 sections, be a bit more straight forward. i would go with whatever ideas most convient as long as its a good setup size does'nt really matter.

I think you should wait and get the snake after you're settled in your new place. I know you have every good intention that you'll be able to properly house the snake when you move but stuff happens....

I'd go with waiting until moving too, snake would be okay in 2x2 but it may stress it moving to yours then moving to another new house after and stressed snakes are problem snakes lol
