Okay, so here's my plan. I want to get a
BCI, but I don't have the room for an adult in my apartment right now. I'll be moving out of here in Spring, but I don't really want to wait that long to get it. When I move, I'm not going to have a good way to transport a viv that's suitable for an adult boa, but I also don't want to keep making/buying different sized vivs as it grows.
I'm considering building a sectional viv because it would A) be usable to some extent throughout the snake's life, just add a section as necessary, and B) It would allow me to break it down for transport. I've been talking to the other reptile guy at the zoo where I work and he's helped me work out some of the design details. My question is about the growth rate though. If I got the snake as a baby, what's the appropriate size viv for one of that age? I'm trying to determine how many sections I'll eventually need for the full viv. I'm leaning towards 2'x2'x2' sections, which would mean I'd eventually need 3 of them, but I may go with a 3'x2'x2'....
Any thoughts?
