Saturday redtails born (photos)
Ok, these beauties are Trinidad BCC, the only recognised Island form of true redtails.. Mom was ready for a chunk of me for wanting the family photo! Doing her Queen of Death imitation (pretty convincing, actually).

I'm proud of the job she did, only one goof there. She calmed down and after I got her into a temp cage I could get in closer.
.

.
Neat stuff!
Have a great weekend.

Hi.. there aren't enough of these nice boas around to be placing one with folks who just want a pet or perhaps might breed it into another project.. To answer your question; Yes, we'll be selling some of these. If you want to know more please contact me about it through my website.
Thanks for your interest.

Hi..
Trinidad redtails are not necessarily big snakes, she is just under 2 meters.. dad is smaller. But baby BCC (Redtails) are practically always big honkers.. and the bigger and more experienced is the mom, the bigger the babies.. Contrast that to what we see in BCI, when mom gets big she puts out a whole lot of babies, but not usually much bigger than average.
This is one of the reasons why the BCC usually sell for more, particularly captive-bred and born, they take longer to mature and even big mamas won't have a ton of babies, just bigger babies. I had a litter of Peru Boa once (well, mama Peru boa HAD them), there were only 19 babies but the smallest was 31" long!
Thanks for looking and for your good questions.
