New Care Sheet added!
Please feel free to check out our newest boa care sheet. This care sheet was kindly provided by Gus at www.riobravoreptiles.com and deals specifically with the captive care of True Redtails. I think this care sheet has some valuable information for anyone keeping boas... BCC or not.

Looks great! Only things is, the measurements and weights at the bottom are in the metric system, which is a wonderful system but means nothing to most of us in the states. Can we get feet and pounds added in parenthesese?

LOL... I would, but I don't have permission to edit\add the care sheets. I'll talk with an admin about it though. =)

Sweet. Thank you Pathy. Notice how we managed to stay completely on topic so far? I'm sure Nora will change that though.
Excellent looking care sheet. I'm really liking what I see from Gus.

Yea... Gus is one of in not my favorite (large\larger scale) breeder. I tried to purchase a Hogg Island Boa from him a year or so ago. I had chosen my boa and sent payment via paypal. Gus informed me that temps were to high between me and him to risk shipping the snake. He said he would care for the snake until temps permitted shipping. In an effort to keep in contact with him, I periodically sent him e-mails asking the status. Gus finally sent me an e-mail basically stating that we obviously could not come to a resolution on a timely shipping date and he was refunding my money. This was the result a simple miscommunication, but reinforced beyond a shadow of a doubt that Gus' highest priority was the safety of his animals. You don't see that kind of commitment from breeders every day.

I certainly look forward to dealing with him in a few months. I've communicated with him via e-mail in my planning and what not, and he's been nothing but personal and professional. A real class act, that Gus is.
