flexwatt

i never really understood how much ( length wise ) you would need to heat a cage. For example if someone had a 50 gal tank, how much flexwatt would be needed to properly heat the cage ?

thanks

Flexwatt is used under the cage so the amount you need is directly related to the dimentions of the cage. For the sake of arguement, let's say you have a four foot long cage that is 24 inches deep.
In that case you only need about 24 inches of 12 inch flexwatt. You only need to heat one side of the cage in order to get a gradient. In this case it is probably best to heat it all the way from the front to the back.
I hope this helps.
