ive seen people keep their full grown boas in something like that, but i guess it would depend really on how big your snake is ?

I think 6'x2'x2' sounds a little better.

If your going to make it 3' deep and 1' high, you might as well buy you a snake hook. A 10g tank is 1' high. Think about it, it's just a suggestion.

If your going to make it 1', you might want to stay at 2' deep. Just make so you have easy access to your snake, and are able to clean it easily.

It should be, but how will you heat it? Any kind of overhead heat will be right on top of the snake. You sure you dont want to at least do 18" high. I read a caresheet that said the enclosure should be at least 2/3 the length of the snake. Females are quite big so the least you want is 2' deep. I dont know, think about the height. You want it to comfortable for the snake and for you to have easy access.

I think he said he'd keep it at 2'. Depends for a female BCI, IMO. Some of those females can hit 9'. I'm planning mine at 8' on the inside, just to be safe. But, I know a lot of people do 6 with no problem. I think, IMO, that anything above 6' is just personal choice. Just my .02

Soberguy, How high are you going to build yours? And will you elevate it off of the floor?

Yeah, definitely elevated, so that the top is about 5' off the floor. Total size of cage will be 8x2x2 on the inside, or maybe 8x3x2 (3 being wide), but still inside measurements. That way (elevation) I have a little stand where I can store substrate, or maybe even littler tanks. OK, smaller tanks for the grammar police. Anyway, those are the dimensions I'm thinking about. I'm gonna give it a look somewhat similar to Stormy's which can be seen here:

I won't follow his plan though, but I do think he's got a good rough plan.
