Bloating???
My redtail is aprx. 10 months old and is poofing up lately. He seems like he is bloating and I thought it might be blockage from poo but he is doing that on a normal basis. Thanks in advance to anyone who might know anything.
Oh yeah, I've been soaking him regularly too.

What are you feeding it, b/c my boa does'nt poop but ever 3 to 4 weeks or so........ but its like she bloats up to, but when she does poop its huge!!!
how often are you feeding it ?
my advice would be to soak it for about 3 hours and i would think within the next 3 days she would have pooped if that is the case.

I'd be real interested to see what you mean by bloating if it's not just ready to poop. We had an issue with our baby boa actually getting some bloating in and around his head area after eating. It would get worse after a few meals, etc... Had us very worried, and I still see some of it at times. He went to the vet and was given a clean bill of health though the actual cause stumped us, the vet and everyone else we've talked to.

He is just poofy around his body. I'm feeding it rat pups every 10 days. to the girth of his body just like normal. It's been a constant thing for the last month or so. it's not to bad but when I hold him it sometimes goes down Could it be him just getting agitated.

When my youngest boa first saw my wifes cat he puffed up quite alot, I think to look more intimidating! Scared the #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& outta me! is this what you mean by bloating? Or just before my boas poop they often look kida fat/swollen around the tail area? As you said once you get him out it goes down, so maybe he feels safe with you?

I was looking at the other bloating threads on this site and I have to say I am very relieved. It's nothing like the pics in other threads. So thanks everyone and I'm sure he'll be just fine.
