if its columbian, its almost definitely a bci. bcc's get bigger. Probing isn't that stressful because its done very fast. I'd be more worried about the hour and a half drive.

Probing is not something anyone can "tell" you how to do. there is more to it than just where to stick the probe. There is a specific way you have to hold the snake and support the tail and a specific way you have to enter the cloaca with the probe. Someone will have to "show" you and coach you through it.

Key word is "show". You are right. It's not hard. But are you prepared to walk someone through it across the internet and risk puncturing some poor snake's goods? Without looking at the snake in person, how do you know how to tell them exactly which probe to choose? If someone isn't holding the tail right and they get the probe half way and the snake yanks it's tail free...guess what? ...bloody snake butt. Not me man. If you want to learn from me...come and get it. I highly suggest anyone wanting to learn to probe to seek someone qualified in person and forget trying to get tips online.

I heard that it hurts the snake when it goes in but im not to sure. I would wanna see it done a couple times, have a vet talk me through it while he's around and soon I would be good at it. Dont go doing it with a diagram from the web, you can really hurt the snake.
