Vet Visit

Now I know why these are called "exotics". I've owned about 2 dozen snakes and have never had to take them to the vet. Today I take my 2 sick RTBs and get a taste of reality to the tune of about $400.00 initial costs. my 80 gram male has pneumonia and my larger 160gm neonate has severe RI. They were both injected-w-Baytril, given a prescription for nebulized Amikacin solution and I'll stick them again on Sun-w-more Baytril. Plus I have to somehow get pedialite into the small one-w-a supplied tube-sanititize the enclosures etc. Then Mon they go for a follow up to the same vet and Fri to a traveling Specialist from Raleigh-Dr. Johnson. Oh the pain in the wallet-they better make it cause if they die I'm gonna kill them.
