Funny picture of one of the baby boas
I am down to the last few babies that haven't eaten and this is one of them. The others have been slamming these big pinkies like candy, but this one seems to be a little intimidated by them. he has been perched on that water bowl since I put the rat in there and if I take him off and put him down next to the rat he takes one look and back up he goes. I will have to pick up a couple pinkie mice for him tomorrow. Maybe he won't be so scared of them.LOL!

He/she is 20 days old now. I had 28 of them born on the morning of the first. Hard to forget how old they are that way. I just have 2 feeding hold outs now. I figure that they will eat when they are ready. I am going to pick up some smaller pinkies over the weekend for the last couple of wimps like this one to eat.

Well I guess the snake had the last word because he finally ate the rat.

Dbutton, I'm glad he hate it!
The rat pinkies are better(healthier) then the mouse pinkies right?
Thats what I have heard...

Everything I have ever read says that rat pinks are the way to go if the snakes are big enough. I have a couple that I had to get new born rat pinks for and then the rest gobbled up big fat 3-4 day old pinks.

Feeding a boa a pink mouse would be like me eating a potato chip for dinner I have had a few babies that absolutly would not touch a pink rat though but would gobble up large fuzzy/small hopper mice. I hate when that happens. Uniformity is something my snakeroom seldom sports though Everybody gotta be different.
