Botty First!
Okay just a quickie,
Some of you may have noticed my posts about 'Monkey' my juvenile male BCI.
The weird thing which he still does is ALWAYS eat rats 'Botty First'
Now i don't know if that's continental style around these parts and thusly the fashion but it strikes me as a bit weird he's still doing it.
It's got to a point where i have to feed him prey items small enough to easily go down backwards because, if i don't, he'll try to eat them backwards anyway and get all pickled up with the rear legs, end up attempting some sideways compromise and, more often than not, he'll burst the rat - which isn't very pleasent and i still have to retrieve the messy pudding from his mouth before his head splits in two.
So chaps. Your thoughts as to why my snake is gay?

Ello. He doesn't normally strike feed, but when he does it usually ends up with him uncoiling and then selecting, after some consideration, what i would deem to be the less appetising end.
He's a weirdo. But I'm keen to find other 'Gay Snake Syndrome' owners so that we can compare notes, swap photo's and possibly become friends sharing drinks with two straws in small bars under large palm trees near Corsica on a sunny afternoon.
I live on the isle of man. Mind you, i use the term loosely. Perhaps i should say 'I'm just about clinging to some kind of existence despite all the odds on the isle of man'

My (BCI) has eaten his rodent backwards as well. I remember that it took forever and a day for him to work the rear legs in. It didn't explode though, thankfully.

LOL My RTB is about 5 month and has eaten the 'wrong' end first before. Took a while to get past those hind legs. But she has done better about finding the easier end most of the time. hehe Now my BP - he attempted to eat his dinner starting at the middle of the tail . . . sideways. lol Almost got it but gave up and eventually found the other end - he then made short work of his dinner. hehe But about the exploding dinners? eeeeewwww! Better you than me. teeheehee
