Can somebody explain this to me?
I've got a question about feeding. I've always fed my bp's and kingsnakes in their cage but I finally got a boa and I've read alot about how you should feed in a seperate container. How do you go about moving them afterwards? How long do you wait? I've always waited a good 30-48 hours before touching my others after a feed. If anyone does this could you please let me know. Baby and I thank you!

I move my ball back into his home, just after the rat has ended his last travel. An easy relocation, and not much more is ok. He has never regurged on me. I feed him in a seperate tank, because He knows its time to eat when he is in his smaller tank, not Every time I open his reg tank. And I use cypress much substrate. And of course thats dangerous if he ingests it.

Just to make sure this is all clear. They are saying it's ok to move the snake back to it's cage after feeding then don't touch em again for about 48 hrs. like Rev said in his first post. I might be bashing the obvious into the ground a bit here, but after readin all those it seemed like someone could come through and read it and think after a half hour any handling from then on was fair game. Then again it's been a long day so my brain is fried!

I feed mine( the boas) in their cages and have never had a problem with them comfusing cleaning or handling time with feeding time. I also don't have trouble with them injesting any substrate since I defrost my rats dry and not in a container or sink of water which leaves a soggy sticky rat that gets covered with any bedding it touches. To each their own, my snakes are perfectly healthy and have never had any health problems aside from a scatched nose that my male got breaking out of his cage and into the females to breed.
Back when I had 35 snakes I fed them all in their cages and never had a problem either.

I got it about not over handling them after eating, thanks. That was my concern about feeding them in another container because with the BP and Kingsnake I just let em sit in their hide or whatever for usually 2 days before taking em out again.
Just took a few pics of my BP Olympias so might as well attach it.
