new to boas...question

how can I tell what kind of boa I have.It was sold to me as a redtail, but does not look like a red tail. The boa looks like a common boa,but common to where? Is there any way to tell where he is from?He is a male and is about 5 foot long, his saddles are perfect circles and he has black spots all over his body even on his yellowish colored stomach.his color is primarily tan,his tail is dark and his tail color is dark brick. He has an awesome temperment, and is very gentle.I would appreciate any help.Wish I had a can to show you.

Best way to tell is with a picture. If you can get a picture uploaded here we can help you out.

There are other ways to tell though by markings and number of saddles. Im sure someone will chime in here with a responce

Re: new to boas...question

stomach discoloration could mean he is going to shed which would cause his color to fade temporarily...just a thought.

Re: new to boas...question

Easiest way to tell is by price. Where did you get it and how much did you pay?
