New Boa or Burm?
Ok first I cant spell to good so be nice.
I am going to get 1 more snake promised I would stop at 6.
Heres the deal Scott the guy I get my snakes from is getting in some new babies. Argenien Boa and Albino Green Burms.
He says the Boa is the 1 for me. For the people that have 1 how are they as far as temperment?
I have my 2 redtails 1 pushing 9 feet and the other pushing 8 and also the 3 Ball Pythons.
Which one do you guys think I should get?

I would get the boa. If you have a boa tht is pushing 9 ft. I assume that you have had "her" for at least a few years. Well imagine getting a burm and it is that big in just 2 years and has not stopped growing. Then of course there is the space consideration and housing. I say these things as a burm owner myself. I love them, but they take up alot of time and space. In fact, I could house 10 adult redtails in the space that my 2 burms take up. They are great snakes, but I would still go with the boa. That is why my boa is pregnant and I am not breeding my burms.

I answered this in your other near identical thread. If you or anyone is seriously considering a green burm, PLEASE READ!
http://www.redtailboa.net/index.php?...wtopic&t=19109
I tried to merge the 2 threads into one but there is a code glitch that is giving us all fits when we try to move, seperate, merge or delete posts or threads. Not for long though I think a fix is in the near future.

Julius said it all, except;
the only burms that should be kept, should be kept in the wild.
(As long as youre not breeding them, or making/owning morphs, then I guess theyre somewhat ok)

Why is everyone always bad mouthing burms not everyone abuses them and gives them away when they are 2 big.I have been offered money numerous times for my snakes up 2 7k just for my 1 albino male and i wouldn't take it i would never give my snakes up for anything in the world.You can't be prej angainst just burms so if you think the only ones that should be kept should be kept in the wild then i think you shouldn't keep any snakes at all.

yeah... i don't think there is anything at all wrong with someone keeping a burm. i completely disagree that they should only be kept in the wild. but someone considering a burm has a lot of things to consider before getting one.
