Is this normal?

I just got my new rtb and she's been trying to get as close as possible to the heat lamp just about all day. I know snakes like warmth but she's plastered to the side of the cage with her head about 4 inches from the lamp. Is she just feeling out her new home or what?

They are kinda low. I posted earlier about what I should do about it, but nobody responded. The warm side is only about 84 and the cool side is 75. I have a 55 gal. tank with a 100 watt lamp and a uth. The uth is for a 20 gal tank but since i'm using the lamp also I thought I would be ok but I guess not.

If you have a human heating pad you could try to use that for now.
