To all Boa Owners:
I just would like everyone who wants to, post up the: age/gender/length/area of their boas, just to get an idea of growth rate, and real sizes not record/uncommon lengths (just to get some kind of average)

All Colombians....
6 years - male - 6ft
6 years - female 7.5-8ft
5 years - feamle 6ft
3 1/2 years - female - 6ft
3 1/2 years - female - 5ft
2 1/2 years - feamle - 5ft
2 1/2 years - male - 4.5ft
2 1/2 years - male - 4.5ft
18 months - male - 3ft
18 months - female - 3ft
18 months - female - 3ft
5 months - female - smidget under 2ft
Now I've had animals on the EXACT same diet reach almost 4ft at 18 months... That quite a bit bigger than the three footers I have now.... But those monster growers were born very big..... well into the 2ft mark.... and the kids im raising now got to me at the 18in mark... All genetic...
Bloodlines dictate a lot in overall growth but its the rate that should be pretty steady and it is for the most part.... 12-18 inches a years average growth rate... sometimes you see those that will push 2ft in a year.... especially at the finally bend... some females just seem to tear into rats right when they hit three... and grow at a rate rivalling the first few months... Anything over 2ft in a year seems about abnormal to me... *shrugs*

My colombian female is 5 1/2 months, and is about 20in
My nicaraguan I just got rid of was about 2 3/4ft and around a year

I have a columbian male... he is 5- 6 months old and I just measured him (which was no easy feat... how do you guys do it with the big guys??) at 21 inches.
