All rainbow boas are extremely sensitive to dehydration and maintenance of high relative humidity is a must. Your cages should be misted several times a day and a humid shelter should be provided. The humid shelter can be in the form of a plastic box with a hole at one end containing moist sphagnum moss. Pools of water large enough for the animal to soak its entire body in should also be provided. If the cage has a screen lid,it should be partially covered with Plexiglas to help retain humidity. A relative humidity of 75-80% is fine. Much lower than 50% for extended periods can cause regurgitation and death by dehydration.
Because high relative humidity can encourage mold growth, you should keep your enclosure scrupulously clean, with bedding and moss changed on a regular basis (preferably weekly or whenever soiled).

Most misting machines can easily be bought at animal stores. Not that expensive(depending on the retailers). Moss is a good way to hold humidity no matter were you put it. It also gives your animal a hide place more natural. I sometimes catch my snakes burrowed under a flat bed of moss which I layed out for them.

your rubbermaid sounds like it would be better that my 25 gal. the boa is a baby. and i mean 3-4week old baby. so are these the same way as other snakes......get a small enclosure cause if not they could get stressed.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you got like a 55 gallon or something bigger. I plan on keeping my guy in there till he outgrows the waterbowl or maybe ill buy something bigger as I see him to start packing on the weight. He is very nocturnal and spends most of the night wondering aroudn checking out his new places, while during the daytime is hiding under some moss or at the top of the branch fixtures i have getting some sun. Rubbermaids are the best way to go rather then a heavy 60 lb tank. They are also cheap and easy to clean.

Rubbemaid container at target (110qt) - $15.00
Cypress Mulch - $10.00
Moss - $8.00
Branch - $12.00
White Aboreal Tubes - (found them around the house ^^ )
Pack of plastic foilage x3 - $10
Heating Pad - $12.00 (however you can purchase a human heating pad at target or walgreens and they work just as great if not better and also have temps were you can control them and give you a bigger sheet. They also are more effecient because they dont stick to the bottom of your enclosures so you can re-use them each time)
100 Watt Day Time Bulb - about $2.00 ?
100 Watt Black Light Night time bulb - $9.00
Clamp Lamp - $15.00
Wire Mesh - $8.00 for a role (but you can get it alot cheaper)
I think thats about it.. works like a charm If you need any further information on human heating pads or anything else just ask, im pretty first hand when it comes to rubbermaid.
