Feisty little Red tail

Got my pair of red tails on Saturday morning, they're still pretty young(born Dec 03). The male is calm, laid back and relaxed and will let me pick him up already, but the female is real pissy....anytime I try to stick my hand anywhere near her she puffs up, hisses and strikes, also strikes at the cage some. My question is... is she still stressed from the journey and the new surroundings and need a little time to adjust??? Or is she just a fiesty little one and gonna need a lot of work to get her used to being handled and how would I go about doing that??
Thanks

If your talking about yesterday, then give them both some more time. If shes still a little feisty then just handle her alot. Shell get better. you can always use a plastic coat hanger to guide her head away from you.

yeah let them settle for a week, she should calm down. if not by then it may take a little work but she will calm down. Do you have them housed together? if so that could cause it too.
